New management in Norilia Nordic

Our current director for the hides and skins business area Mr. Lars Chr. Dørum has decided to step down after 31 years in service. His efforts laid the basis for our business growth and made our products well known worldwide. We are thankful for all his efforts and the great achievements he has created for the company. Under these circumstances a generational change of management has become necessary.

Norilia is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Tufan Yurt as successor, acting Managing Director for Norilia Nordic and Group Director for the Hide and Skin business in Norilia. Norilia Nordic is a joint venture with our Danish partner Himmerlandskød acting as our sales arm for all our Nordic hides and skins.

Tufan is 44 years old and has a background as factory manager in Norilia and we strongly believe that Tufan with his 18 years of experience in the industry is the best choice for this position.

These changes also highlight Norilia's continued commitment to internal promotion and career progression.

Tufan will be responsible for purchasing, operations, marketing and sales. He will commence in the role on 19 October 2020.

Lars will assume a position as a senior advisor and will be working closely with the new management with sales and supporting the transition of leadership.

Our growth strategy which we have launched at the beginning of this year together with our Danish partner Himmerlandskød, has already accelerated with an increase of 30% in market share in Nordic countries and continuous to grow steadily.
